Dedicated support from our U.S. team
The 9205L is the tall version of the same plush build — deep grid-tufted back, thick bolster arms, three-panel seat — with a longer seat and a taller back, so taller users get support all the way up instead of stopping at the shoulders. Rated to 400 lbs and sized for roughly 5'7" to 6'6".
2nd Generation Upgrade. Redesigned around real customer feedback:
Four side pockets — two on each side, positioned higher so the remote and your essentials stay within reach without bending down, even while reclined.
USB-A and USB-C charging ports — charge your phone or tablet from the chair.
Upgraded hardwood frame — redesigned for greater structural stability and a longer service life.
Reinforced steel frame — rebuilt for heavy-duty daily use.
66% thicker footrest steel plate — up from 3 mm to 5 mm (0.12" to 0.2") vs. the 1st generation, for significantly greater footrest stability under heavier legs. Extended, it now sits about 2" (5 cm) higher than the 1st generation.
Dual-Motor System. The backrest and the footrest move independently, so you can hold any position between fully upright and a true 180° lay-flat — not just a handful of fixed presets. The lift function brings you smoothly and safely to standing.
Lumbar heat and 4-mode back massage help ease muscle tension through the day.
Pairs Well With
The plush one — in a size that fits taller people.
Some people want a chair that holds them firmly. Others want to sink in. The 9205 is built for the second kind — deep grid-tufted back, thick bolster arms, a three-panel seat. The 9205L is that same build made for taller bodies: a longer seat and a taller back, so support runs all the way up instead of stopping at the shoulders. Rated to 400 lb, sized for about 5'7" to 6'6".
Is the 9205L the right fit for you?
Built for taller and broader users — about 5'7" to 6'6", rated to 400 lb. Measured from the factory drawing.

Why this one feels different
Cushioned from shoulders to knees.
The deep grid-tufted back keeps the padding in place instead of letting it flatten into a slab over time. Thick bolster arms sit high enough to rest your forearms without shrugging your shoulders up. The three-panel seat divides the cushion so it supports the thighs and the seat separately rather than sagging as one piece.
It's a fully-cushioned chair — the opposite of the firm, flat heavy-duty look.
That is what makes the difference at hour three rather than minute three.
For people who want to sink in.
The L is for length
83 inches flat — support all the way up, and all the way down.
Two changes make the 9205L a taller person's chair rather than just a wide one: a taller back, so your shoulders and neck are still on the chair instead of above it, and a longer seat with an extended footrest, so your calves and heels are carried instead of hanging.
At a true 180° lay-flat the chair measures 83" end to end — the number that decides whether stretching out actually works at 6'6".
For the owners who tell us they rest — or sleep — in the chair rather than the bed, that length is the difference between propping yourself up and actually stretching out.
The extended footrest, rebuilt
Longer — and thick enough to stay where it should.
A longer footrest is also a longer lever arm, so it has to carry more load. The footrest steel plate is 5 mm thick — 66% thicker than the first generation (up from 3 mm), and extended it now sits about 2" (5 cm) higher, because heavier legs push a standard footrest down under load.
We didn't simply make the pad longer.
Second generation — built from owner feedback
Four side pockets — two on each side, positioned higher so the remote and your essentials stay within reach without bending down, even while reclined. USB-A and USB-C charging ports, so a phone or tablet charges from the chair.
Underneath: an upgraded hardwood frame redesigned for greater structural stability and a longer service life, over a reinforced steel frame rebuilt for heavy-duty daily use.
Two controls, each doing one job
Any position you want — not a preset.
The backrest and the footrest run on separate motors, each on its own button, so you can hold any position between fully upright and flat. The second control handles lumbar heat and 4-mode back massage to ease muscle tension through the day.
Getting up shouldn't be the hard part
A steady lift toward standing.
The lift base tilts the whole chair forward and brings you smoothly and safely toward your feet — controlled the whole way, steady at 400 lb. It's the help that matters most after surgery, with sore knees or hips, or on the days standing up just takes more.
Before you order
Delivery & assembly
The 9205L ships in 2 boxes that may arrive on different days — don't worry if they don't come together. Assembly is tool-free in a few simple steps, but the boxes are heavy: we recommend two people to move them into place.
Room to recline
Fully assembled it measures 46.5"H × 40.5"W, and reclines to 83" end to end. Leave clearance behind the chair to reach the full 180°.
Color in your home
The same upholstery can look different in daylight, under warm lamps, and in cool light — and every screen shows color a little differently. If a particular shade matters to you, ask us before you order.
What's the difference between the 9205L and the 9205?
Same plush build and the same 400 lb rating — the 9205L adds a taller back and a longer seat with an extended footrest, for users up to about 6'6". The 9205 is sized for about 5'7"–6'3".
How is it different from the 9188ET?
Both are 400 lb chairs with an extended footrest — the difference is the feel. The 9205L is the plush build: deep grid-tufted back, thick bolster arms, three-panel seat, 83" reclined. The 9188ET is the streamlined build: clean panel-stitched back, padded pillow arms, single-panel seat, 81" reclined. Choose by how you like to sit.
Does it lie fully flat?
Yes — a true 180° lay-flat, with the backrest and footrest set independently anywhere between 105° and 180°. At full recline the chair measures 83" end to end.

Good size and easy for me to use both remotes, customer service is even better! Thank you! Happy customer
I was so nervous about buying this recliner online—my living room is a bit of an awkward size, and I worried it’d either be too bulky to fit or too small to feel cozy. The customer service team was absolutely incredible from the start! They helped me double-check the dimensions, walked me through the space-saving features, and even sent me extra photos of the scale next to similar furniture to make sure I wouldn’t be disappointed.
When it arrived, I was thrilled to see it fit perfectly in the corner by the window—just as they promised! The fabric is so soft and plush, and it’s become my go-to spot for morning coffee, weekend naps, and even late-night work sessions with my laptop on the side table. It’s exactly the size I needed: roomy enough to curl up in, but not so big that it overwhelms the room. I can’t recommend this chair (and the team behind it) enough!
this is a beautiful chair so easy to put together the vibration and heat on it are wonderful and I love the see-through arms. I researched all the recliners to find this and I'm so glad I decided on this one. It has got so many compliments on being beautiful
This recliner was very easy to assemble. The delivery was super fast. My husband is 6'4". The foot extender is great. His feet do not hang over the edge. Everything works great and it is very comfortable. Perfect color, it matches our other furniture. Very pleased with this purchase.
Overall, I like it. The massage and heat features ease my pain and tension, while the lift function makes it so much easier to get in and out without straining.
This chair is even more comfortable and spacious than I expected. The seat is wide and deep, giving me plenty of room to sit naturally without feeling cramped. The thick cushioning provides excellent support for my back, waist, arms, and legs, and the included pillows make it easy to adjust the support exactly where I need it. Despite its generous size, the chair feels cozy rather than bulky. It is perfect for relaxing, watching TV, reading, or taking a nap. The upholstery also feels soft and looks high quality. If you are looking for a large, roomy recliner that offers plenty of support and all-day comfort, this chair is an excellent choice.
I am very happy with this chair. The overall quality is excellent, and it feels sturdy, well-made, and built to last. The upholstery feels soft and comfortable, while the padding provides great support without being too firm. I can sit or recline in it for a long time without feeling uncomfortable, and the backrest, seat, and leg rest support my body very well.
One of the things I like most is the size. It is roomy enough to sit comfortably and stretch out, but it does not feel unnecessarily bulky or take up too much space in the room. The seat width and depth feel just right, and the extended footrest gives my legs plenty of support when I recline. The different sections can be adjusted to help me find a comfortable position whether I am sitting upright, watching TV, reading, or relaxing.
The chair also operates smoothly, and the controls are easy to use. You can tell that a lot of thought went into both the comfort and construction. It looks great in my home and feels even better than I expected. Considering the quality, comfort, generous size, and useful features, I think it is well worth the price. I would definitely recommend this chair to anyone looking for a comfortable, spacious, and high-quality recliner.
I really do love this chair. I love the ease of movement and it is so comfortable and plush definitely enough room and the massage is great. Everything is great. My only critique is that the foot rest extender you can’t get it put down while it’s reclined, unless you have really strong legs and can pull your knees up to your chin and then put it down with your heels which I don’t and can’t, but you can’t put it down while it’s not reclined either but other than that it’s an awesome Chair.
This chair is so comfy .I've never had a chair that my feet don't overhang LOVE the extension. I don't recommend PRIDE chairs .I've had 4 lift chairs from them and they don't hold up the Irenehouse is far better quality... Thank you
The Lift Recliner Chair is just what my husband needed. It is well made for a larger person, and the lumbar support helps with his back that has three fractures. The upholstery is very soft and comfortable. The lift is great to get out of the chair with ease. This chair is so well made we know it will last forever! Well worth the investment! Also he likes the lumbar motion and heat element for his back.
I’m very happy with this purchase. The chair is exactly as described on the website—the dimensions, features, and overall quality all match perfectly with what was advertised. It’s comfortable, well-built, and works smoothly.
I especially appreciate that there were no surprises after assembly—everything met my expectations. For the price, this chair is truly a great value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable recliner.
Received chair within a few days. Took maintenance team at community where I live a week to schedule assembly. Just got it together this afternoon. It's exactly what I was needing. I sleep in this chair and I believe it's going to work just great. If it continues to feel this good, I'll be ordering another one for the liv room.
