Yes — lay-flat models like the popular 9188 series recline to a near-flat position through infinite stops, and on dual-motor chairs the backrest and footrest adjust independently. Many owners use it for napping and long relaxation. Comfort varies from person to person, so pick a size that fits your height and body shape. This isn't medical advice — follow your care team's guidance.
Most chairs arrive in two boxes (a few models — the 9188E, 9196E and 9206 — come in three), and setup is mainly attaching the backrest to the seat base. Every model has a step-by-step assembly PDF and video on our Assembly Guides page, and most owners are done in well under an hour.
We ship free via FedEx to the 48 contiguous U.S. states (not Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or APO/FPO addresses). In-stock orders are processed within 2 business days, then typically arrive in 3–8 business days. Orders aren't shipped on weekends or holidays.
Every chair includes a standard warranty: 2 years on electronic components (motor, transformer, hand control), and 3 years each on the upholstery cover, the reclining mechanism, and the solid-wood frame.
