The Irene House 9188T is the tall-user version of our best-selling 9188 Series, built for users between 5'5" and 6'5". A higher 28" back, 24.5" wide seat, and extended footrest keep your head supported and your feet from hanging off the edge — the two complaints tall users have about standard recliners.

Who It's For

Taller adults and seniors up to 350 lbs with longer legs and torso. The dual motor system adjusts backrest and footrest independently, reclining to a true 180° lay-flat position with a full 78" of stretch-out length — long enough for overnight sleeping after surgery. The extended footrest supports your legs end to end, while dual-zone heat (lumbar and seat cushion), 4-point back massage, and the power lift assist come standard.

The 9188T ships in 2 boxes (Box 1: 30.1" x 15.0" x 29.9"; Box 2: 30.3" x 25.6" x 21.3"), which may arrive on different days — don't worry if they don't show up together. Assembly is tool-free and takes just a few simple steps: the backrest slides onto the base and the cables plug together

Fully assembled, the 9188T measures 43"H x 34.5"W x 38.5"D. It ships unassembled in 2 boxes, so doorways aren't a concern — each box fits easily through standard doors. When placing the chair, it needs at least 22" of wall clearance to fully recline — we recommend leaving about 25" for comfortable everyday use.
