Nearly. Dual motors adjust the backrest and footrest independently, reclining the 9185 to a nearly flat 165° position — comfortable for napping and relaxed sleeping.
How many boxes does the 9185 ship in? Is assembly difficult?
The 9185 ships in 2 boxes (Box 1: 30.1" x 17.3" x 24.4"; Box 2: 30.1" x 23.8" x 19.5"), which may arrive on different days — don't worry if they don't show up together. Assembly is tool-free and takes just a few simple steps: the backrest slides onto the base and the cables plug together.
How much space does the 9185 need?
Fully assembled, the 9185 measures 41.3"H x 29"W x 36.5"D — one of our most compact models. It ships unassembled in 2 boxes, so doorways aren't a concern — each box fits easily through standard doors. When placing the chair, leave about 20" of wall clearance so it can fully recline.

I purchased this chair for my elderly mom with next to no mobility. She needs help standing and is 5’01”. Overall, I really like this chair and am happy with my purchase.
The chair comes in 2 boxes and is pretty easy to put together. I did it by myself and no tools were needed.
The chair has a few options for recline. You can recline the back portion only, or just bring the feet up, you can also have it lay down flat. There is also the power lift option which is going to be very helpful for the caregivers when we get her up.
The recline options do go pretty slow, but I guess the alternative wouldn’t be very safe.
Overall, the chair is super comfortable and beautiful. I would definitely purchase again.

The Irene House 9185 is extremely comfortable for long sitting periods. I use it every day for watching TV and reading. The lift feature works quietly and smoothly, and I feel much more independent using it. The neutral beige color is warm and inviting, not too light or dark. Highly recommended for seniors.

Bought this chair for my 91 year old mom who is quite petite. It fits her so well and she can sit up close to see the TV and electric fireplace. The quality is obvious!!!
For a long time I was looking for a small size Recliner with independent foot and back movement to fit into the limited space I have. Finally have found this which fulfills all my needs, in fact it has a massager as well. Besides this, their customer service is excellent. I had contacted them before purchase and then after purchasing when I had a small issue which was resolved expeditiously. It's an excellent piece of furniture and would highly recommend for purchase.

Absolutely perfect for my elderly mother in a skilled nursing facility. Straightforward directions and easy to assemble. The hardest part was the unboxing! She loves it. It is easy to use especially for an elderly person and oh so comfortable. I was so happy to find a comfortable recliner for a small woman that is also modern and chic in style. None of that big-man, overstuffed look.
The chair arrived well packaged and was easy to assemble. So far, the only thing that isn't 100% is the fabric skirt in the back. It doesn't lay flat. That aside, it is the perfect size for a petite woman.

I was leery about using a chair that I thought would "throw me out". This is wonderful, controllable, and comfortable!! The remote pocket is too far back for me but that's minor. Would love to send a GREAT video but don't know how. It's on my phone.
It is a very elegant recliner. Very helpful after hip replacement surgery. The tilting action helps in getting up. My husband even sleeps on it since he has come home from rehab.
